At Middlerock Partners, we noticed that it takes a long time between a company’s first discovery of who we are and what we do, and hiring us to help them solve a problem, or take on some other project. We’d love to find a way to shorten the time between discovery and first conversation, because too often, we don’t get the call until a disaster has already happened. This is not at all about Middlerock. This is about how people come to terms with a problem. Doctors experience the same thing, wishing patients came in sooner. This is about when a company knows they may have a problem and the point in which they decide to do something about it. It gets tricky. Other firms that do various aspects of our work told us they experience the same behavior.
