Boeing- Why from the Bottom and not the top?
These posts are typically written way in advance of the date you see them. I had a medical event occurring in my life and I was out of communication for who knew how long. As I could, I'd write as much as possible from my hospital bed, but I left you all hanging when I didn't explain why I'd implement change within a company from the bottom up rather than the top down. I sort of left you hanging as I was distracted.
Let's assume that Elon Musk acquired Boeing and wanted to turn the company around. There would be a bunch of challenges. His biggest would be the difference in cultures and work ethic between Boeing and his other companies. Tesla, SpaceX, Starlink, etc., all have one thing in common: the jobs are like tours of duty where you work your ass off because it's exciting, then you get out. It's a unique culture and way of doing things and it's effective.
