Most of my readers have never heard of Exotics at Redmond Town Center, or "E@RTC" for short. It's a gathering of rare and exotic cars that began with a friend and me back in 2009. I worked on it full time for several years, then backed off and ran primarily the business side, which I still manage today. It's a year-round volunteer role even though it's a seasonal event.
We have about 36 volunteers, including back-end help; almost all work our shows, and just a few of us work behind the scenes. Someone has to manage the business, while others manage shirts, radios, volunteers, and special cars. I now manage about 95% of the business side, yet we do it for the love of it. There isn't a buck in it for us. It's just the opposite.
