We're at a crossroads... so now what?

For the first time in our E@RTC (Exotics at Redmond Town Center) history, we’ve seen a seasonal downturn in attendance compared to prior years. It was first brought to my attention a year ago as the season got closer to the end. At the time, I didn’t know how to interpret the news because there are so many variables, and it’s normal for us to slow down as the season winds down.

We had a call this past week with some of the volunteers, but missing were many of the old guard, the original gangsters who are the backbone of our brand. Like everyone else, I want the show to succeed and continue, but I’m stuck in this odd place where the signal-to-noise ratio is jam-packed with confirmation bias. That bias, if left unchecked, could lead to bad decisions. Some of what I’m hearing from newer volunteers directly contradicts other data points.
