This is my 401st Substack post. It’s hard to believe I’m here already.

So, what have I learned in all this?

When I have a moment, I read other Substacks by authors across a variety of subjects. I’ll admit, I skip through most of it. Too many say things that aren’t the least bit interesting, profound, or insightful to me, yet they act like they are. I then wonder if that’s me too?

The fact is, I have no clue how I ever became successful in business in the first place in spite of my attempts to share all experiences. Yet, I’ve done it more than once so I must have done something right. I write in part to try and figure that out. Could a guy fail forward this often and end up a success? Maybe. I have days when my dog has way better ideas than me. He knows it too and he’s rather proud of his good ideas.
