Great article! The more you get to know someone, the more you get to see how cool they are! ๐Ÿ˜Š

Interesting enough, we share a similar experience!

I competed in several fitness competitions after my 3rd and 4th daughter, and I was able to exercise up until eight months pregnant! Then, in my 30s, while pregnant with my first son, I couldn't even do the squatting motion because it hurt my hips so bad :(. I needed a walker by month six! Going from being physically fit, and then to not be able to do basic movements! Then, during my seventh pregnancy, it got to the point where I didn't even leave the house for the last two months because it hurt so much to walk that I even got a wheelchair this time! How I would have loved the electric one! โ˜๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ˜…

You do what you gotta do so you can live life the way you want to live it. If living life means getting a cool wheelchair (even temporarily) I think that's cool! ๐Ÿ˜…

Thanks for that Roxanne! Yeah, I have mixed feelings. It's all loaded in the car and ready for use at the air show. We'll see how I do. Glad you're up and about and that the new addition is doing so well.

Retired Hospice RN here Tom. People who use mechanical devices are NOT lazy. This device helps you maintain independence and conserve energy for things you want to accomplish. Besides, those passing judgment are in most cases unable to relate to another otherโ€™s struggles or situation. They lack empathy and what they think isnโ€™t worth you wasting your precious energy (emotional and physical) on.

Glad you are coming to see EAA in Oshkosh.

Yes, I was more judgmental than I am now that I'm on the other side. I still make fun of the chairs. I'm still thinking of calling mine the shat mobile, even though it hasn't happened...yet.
